SUCKS TO BE COLD? IMAGINE BEING COLD AND HUNGRY!

The legislative cutback on SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program), which provides food assistance to low-income Pennsylvanians, has gone into effect as of January 1, 2026 as part of the "One Big Beautiful Bill Act," making it harder for people in your ZIP code to put food on the table. 

Penn cares. Last fall we funded a 40lb-donation of food. Let's top that this year. Whoever makes the second largest individual donation (locals only) gets a homemade Italian dinner with dessert. I say second largest because PCL's very own Professor John Hollway has generously offered to personally match all our donations up to $2000, but if anyone tops that we can reconsider contest guidelines.
